Lyrics |
Sunday night, I was happy again
I'd forgotten all about yesterdays rain
Come next week, will I still feel the same?
Living without you
It was quite a shock to find you not here
So I went out, drowned my sorrows in beer
It's been a week, I'm still not thinking clear
Living without you
Can't believe that you're gone
Still can't listen to our song
Still don't know just what went wrong
I sat all night by the telephone
but when I called there was nobody home
How I hate eating dinner alone
Living without you
There's so many things that I should say
But so many words keep getting in the way
I guess it can wait for another day
Living without you
Can't believe that you're gone
Still can't listen to our song
Still don't know just what went wrong
Push too hard, well that's what you get
The water looked fine; I just ended up wet
Sometimes I wish that we'd never met
Living without you
People change; well you know what I mean
It's the same old story on a different theme
All I needed was a change of scene
Living without you
Can't believe that you're gone
Still can't listen to our song
Still don't know just what went wrong
Sunday night, I was happy again
I'd forgotten all about yesterdays rain
Come next week, will I still feel the same?
Living without you
Can't get used to living on my own
Waking in the morning feeling all alone
Facing up to the great unknown
Living without you

A Bit of Trivia |
The original basis of this song was founded on a Cure song, "Friday I'm in Love," although it eventually turned out to be more "Crocodile Rock" (Elton John) than anything else, probably more due to the influences of the main contributors to the music.
The song had been recorded for a long time, when DK came up with the idea for the lyrics at the end of the song.
Unfortunately, the change of tone and style of the vocals didn't quite match the rest of the song and so probably detract from the final result in a way.
