that I love you
without my heart fearing
the ways to solitude;
the words skipping animatedly
without hindrance
and find willingness
in your echoes
would you listen
to the grasping litany
of a thousand questions
or turn away?
as you always do
as you always did
while i wait vainly,
a ghost of christmas past
perhaps i will be able to show
the ways of loving you,
when i stand at
the sunny side of the street;
threads of sublime wishes,
golden in the sun
and soft in secret places
softer still, with acceptance
