LOSSES |
Why regret the loss of Friendship? It is like the loss of a favorite toy, or a mischance of happy memories
A friend is nothing more than a stranger that you have come to know; we are all strangers once are we not?
In your blindness you chose to see that Friendship is the warm anchor when the storm of Life is raging
Love, alas, in your eyes perhaps, is the load that string your neck and push you to the extremes of ecstatic happiness and the depths of hell
You long for my friendship, and regretted not the loss of my love must I grieve for you? you chose not the better gift I offered you chose not to love me back
As I hang my head and think of the moments lost to us I realize, with sharp regret, That yes, I grieve for you and regret, instead, the loss of Love
