When we say goodbye
You will break my heart in pieces
No matter how hard I try
And tear myself from silenced wishes
In my heart of hearts
I will hear your footsteps
Fading away in parts
As I listened, and watched and wept
And when we say goodbye
I will fell the pain of parting
And watch the light slowly die
Its fires unerringly fading
So speak not these words
And go silent into the night
Sever the breaking cords
Leave unknown, in quiet flight...
