WHEN I SAY I LOVE YOU |
When I say I love you It is not because I say it in passing Nor because I have nothing else to do And the words have no meaning When I say I love you It is not because the moon is high And the stars that rode above Are all but images of a lie There are no becauses nor whys nor hows No logic to offer you reasons Broken promises, empty vows Have all taught us their lessons But when, now I say I love you I say it with all of my vulnerability More than you will ever know More than you will ever show So, I say I love you now With my heart and my mind I will, if I can, keep you home I will, if I can, love you for all time
