MONTAGE |
The clock chimed hurriedly Hearing the beat of the ages As it tolled mournfully Defying the Wisdom of the Sages
The Sands rushed with anger Not knowing the pain it caused Ignoring the despairing hunger Of crumbled dreams and wishes
The sun waves at the horizon Painting the skies with its tears Watching my heart from beyond A montage of misty fears
The rain falls with eerie laughter Drenching the humdrum of ancient Life Singing the burden of my Winter Parting my four winds with a knife
The gods took away my passion< The secrets of my soul torn apart Athena and Aphrodite silent in their mansions Ares and Hades sitting in my heart<
The story of my life is at an end It bears still the scars of Time Perhaps the angels will be kinder when I hear the emptiness in the haunting chimes
